Well the other day I found time to make a new harness to go between the distributor and coil to replace the hacked up one. Turned out nice and cleaned up. Then started looking at the wires by the alternator noticed the wires was funky and the tape was loose. Started removing it and found at one time the wire from the alternator melted and they didn’t really clean it up. Found bare wires and some not covered.
